Kasol-Kheerganga-Tosh: A Trip to Create Unforgettable Memories!

Travel has always been my beloved thing to do during vacations. I hope it is the same for you too!

Have you ever wished to travel somewhere far away and get lost in the magnificence of the place?

I had such an incident on my trip. I traveled to the most spectacular places in Himachal Pradesh. Their breathtaking views, adventurous trekking, and the splashing sounds of the river made me fall in love with these places.

I Took the Route: Kasol – Manikaran - Tosh

From Kasol, I kicked off my trip.

Kasol:

Kasol is one such place of precise awesomeness. There are no words for me to describe how Kasol impressed me.

Kasol is a beautiful and calm village in Himachal Pradesh located on the banks of the Parvati River. Between Bhuntar and Manikaran, this is one of the nicest places I’ve visited. I can still remember the ambiance and the climate.

Since I traveled during the summer, there was quite a lot of crowd.

What’s Popular in Kasol:

Kasol's cuisine is one of the main reasons why I visited there. Their popular Israeli food draws the attention of people all over the world indeed. It was yummy-licious!!

It is famous for Tibetian market to shop woolen clothes.

Kasol has a great mythological history behind it.

Things to Do On the Trip:

First and foremost walk in streets and then go for a trek.

Walk along the Parvati River: The silence filled in Parvati River with only the splashes of the water is bliss!

Chalal:

My next stop was Chalal! After crossing the amazing Parvati River, I was completely reminded of my childhood days. I am a person who loves nature more than anything and everything. Through the bride and the majestic pine forests, I finally reached the Chalal.

After seeing the crown in Kasol, Chalal’s peace reminded me of how peaceful it is.

Manikaran:

The next point was Manikaran! Manikaran is 4 km east of Kasol. I had the most enthralling experience in Manikaran!

Manikaran is quite famous for its pearl white temple and Gurudwara beside the Parvati River.

This small town had the most amazing climate. I spotted many pilgrims along with travellers too.

The Manikaran Gurudwara is another vital reason why I visited the place. It is a fact that the hot springs are so hot that you may even cook rice in the heat. After cooking, the food cooked in Gurudwara is wrapped in pots and immersed in the holy water.

If you are staying at hotels in Manikaran, do not forget to spend time in the hot pools in the hotels.

When is the Right Time to Visit Manikaran?

I would suggest summer. I visited these places during April. When I stayed there, the temperature was almost 11 degrees.

Manikaran is one of the best sightseeing places I have travelled to. It was quite high in altitude, but the snow there was worth walking up!

Things to Do:

ü  The hot springs in Manikaran are striking. A dip in the hot spring felt like ecstasy. Awe-struck I was!

ü  I also trekked along the Harinder Mountains. The more I walked, the more I felt light and peaceful! The snow-covered region is now added to my favorite trip spots! The great Manikaran Gurudwara can be seen from the top. Its magnificent look was alluring! Do not miss trekking!

ü  I also visited the Lord Ramachandra temple to know more about the history of the place. It is said that the great Lord Rama himself brought this temple from Ayodhya.

ü  Manikaran Sahib is the most splendid place I have been to. This place is a must-visit for Hindus and Sikhs coming anywhere nearby.

Kheerganga:

Next, I went to Kheerganga, 3500m Kheerganga is a place where Lord Shiva meditated for thousands of years. This gave me Goosebumps!

All about Kheerganga Trek:

The whole journey in Kheerganga was quite amusing. I loved the trekking experience here. The starting point of the Kheerganga trek is Barshaini, which is almost 20 km away from Kasol. It was a two days trek. The 12km trek did not feel tiring at all because of all the beautiful scenery around. April to October would be the perfect choice if you are travelling to Kheerganga.

Travel was quite tiresome, but when I looked at the magnificent Parvati River and the snow-covered mountains, all the tiredness turned into something magical!

Things to Carry:

These are the things to take while traveling:

If you travel during summer, do not forget your sunscreen

       Trekking shoes

       Mosquito repellent

       Warm clothes

       Medical first-aid kit

Things to Keep In Mind While You Are In This Place:

Ø  Always take the straight paths when you are trekking in the mountains

Ø  Be careful while you are at the hot springs

Ø  Since there is no network at Kheerganga, make sure you are all packed and safe

Ø  Always take an umbrella in case of emergencies

Ø  A high-power torchlight

Tosh:

My final destination was Tosh!

Almost 2400 meters high from the Himachali village, Tosh is well known for its amazing view of the hills with rich green vegetation.

What Not to Miss:

ü  Tosh is a great getaway for psychedelic parties and DJs here. I took a look at the parties and they were pretty good!

ü  In the center of the village is a temple - Jamdagni Rishi temple. I did not get a chance to visit, because the temple is opened only once a year during January and February months. If you visit during the first two months of the year, do not miss visiting the temple. They are popular for their breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Who would like to visit? EVERYONE!

ü  Trekking is also famous in Tosh.

ü  There is a stone marker stating “0 Km” which means, after that region, there will not be a 4G network. Cool, right? I also clicked pictures near the stone! HAHA! You also take one and it is the perfect post for social media ;)

ü  I even got to taste the diet food there – Snickers Chapathi! It is exactly the way it sounds!

It was one of the best trips I've ever completed. Make sure you pick the right route and travel.

Bon voyage!
