Himachal Pradesh is known for its wonderful scenes, hill stations and delightful temples. An extraordinary number of aesthetic areas are located everywhere in Himachal Pradesh. However, the most beautiful of them is Bir. 

 On the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in Himachal Pradesh, a little town 'Bir' is located. While it very well might be a little locale contributing towards Himachal's majestic beauty, you will be shocked by the charm it has to bring to the table. Various fun activities in Bir Billing can't be missed.

Noted particularly for its spiritual studies and eco-tourism, I found peace in this heavenly place.

Get Ready For Endless Recreational Activities

Generally known as the 'Paragliding capital of India', Bir is a paradise for all adventure seekers. I enjoyed countless captivating and interesting exercises to do in BirBilling. I was enthralled to know the endless possibilities that this place holds. 

Several fun activities can be done in Bir. Camping, trekking, paragliding, hand-gliding, Walking by Bir River, Travelling by Toy Train, mountain biking,  enjoying Spa With Arya Marga, Visiting Bangoru Waterfall, Deer Park Institute, exploring the cafes of Bir, Worship at Chokling Monastery, etc. 

Paragliding 

You cannot miss paragliding when in Bir. October - November and March-may are viewed as favourable months for paragliding as the environment is very charming during this time for paragliding. 

Assuming you are pondering about what time to take up this activity, you should consider the evening and watch the changing tints of the sky as you fly from Billing to Bir. At a height of around 2,000 meters in the sky, this is something you should attempt once in your lifetime. 

Camping

 If you visit Birbilling and stay inside the four premises of an inn, you are without a doubt missing a major opportunity of making the most of your excursion in the lap of nature. 

I experienced the unadulterated grandeur of the area by camping. Words fail to express how heavenly an encounter that was. 

You will get a glorious chance of witnessing marvels of nature with no indecent influences. I enjoyed the detailed adventure of camping.

Trekking

What can be a preferable and energizing activity other than trekking when you are in the mountains? Bir billing is the ideal spot if you are a lover of adventure and has consistently been your fantasy. 

There are various tour packages that offer a total excursion of Bir and its surrounding areas at affordable costs. It begins with 8,000 rupees for every individual. You can plan your stay in tents and go for an early morning journey under guidance.  

My package offered me a trained guide who was an expert in all mountain activities. This probably helped me in shedding away all my tension of trekking to a new place.

Walk by Bir Riverside

In case you're excessively drained for a muscle-wrecking campaign and getting back to the inn isn't something that you need, going for a stroll along the banks of Bir is the most significant activity in Bir. Let the quietness of the streaming water seep into your weary soul. 

The calm and relieving sound of the river will honestly cause you to feel relaxed, delivering you the solace you've been searching for.

Star Trails in the Night Sky

I just got reminded of this famous quote "With the naked eye you can see bright stars, constellations, and you can identify planets,"

On a clear night, you can witness the starry sky. While camping, stargazing can be the most fun yet peaceful activity. Since the campground is away from the humdrum of city life, the dark sky is perfect for star trails in the night sky.

Bottom Line

Who doesn't want to experience the riches that nature has to offer? I am a nature enthusiast and my trip to Bir Billing has been a blessing for me. But it is located at an elevation of 5000 feet above sea level. The snow-capped hills, artistic temples and lush-green serenity add tons to the beauty of this place in Himachal Pradesh.

I always wanted to fly up in the sky, and get a birds-eye view of the mountains. I enjoyed paragliding in the world's second most preferred place for paragliding. This place has something to offer to everyone. I still cannot believe that I have experienced all these musings in one place.
